Vintage Italian Art Glass Rossini Empoli Turquoise Blue Hand Blown Diamond Optic FIsh Bowl Compote Snifter Azure Blue Retro Decor Gift For Him Collectable

The Empoli region of Italy has been making glass since the 1400's.
They are known for their green glass made with the iron in the sands of that area.
The Empoli Verde (Green) is therefore their most popular color.
This glass became very sought after in the mid century.
This piece is right out of the 60's.
There are numerous pin-head sized bubbles embedded in the glass.
Each piece is hand crafted and blown.

It has two small scuffed areas resulting in very faint scratches,
I did my best to get images of them as they are hard to see.
Please view the last two images.
Rossini Glass is named after the famous composer Gioachino Antonio Rossini, 1792–1868, who wrote 39 operas.
As said above, the glass is produced with various metals, Dichroic Glass, in it to bring an array of varied colors to each piece.
Empoli is a town near tuscany, Italy famous for producing this glass.
We tried to get the most refractory to show you WHY it's so popular.
This compoti also has a single line that swirls it's way around the bowl to the rim of the glass.
It is Gorgeous in the light!

This piece stands 8 1/4 inches tall.
It measures about 6 inches at it's widest point.
Its rim is 3 1/2 inches wide.

Also called a statement piece, it cannot hide well in your home and is meant to be shown off.
