Highly Collectable.
This is a rare mid century piece by Ucagco (United China And Glass Company) using this name starting in the 1930's.
A beautiful unique vintage figurine to hold your cherished ornament!
The piece is in very good vintage condition with no crazing or noticable chips.
It stands 7 inches tall amd is about 7 inches wide with branch
It does have a small worn area on its posterior upper truck along it's edge to which the bird is facing.
This is a rarer piece, we are thinking becuase of it's frailty by nature.
Many pieces of this style may not have survived or are being held on to because of their special function.
About the company~
The import company was based in New Orleans and New York with S.A Sarloff, a designer himself, helping the Japaness artists after WW2 with their designs for the company. He also facilitated importing the ceramics into the US for the company on the business side. The company dates back to 1850 opening it's doors as the Abe Mayer & Co.
