This is the classic green vase Empoli Glass Is originally known for.
The Empoli region of Italy has been making glass since the 1400's.
They are known for their green glass made with the iron in the sands of that area.
The Empoli Verde (Green) is therefore their most popular color.
This glass became very sought after in the mid century.
This piece is right out of the 60's and no doubt had a stopper to match at some point.
It stands about 12 inches in height.
It's rim is 3 inches outside to outside.
NOTE: It does have a sliced edge of one diamond point and a small light chew on a diamond point.
Both are near each other along the lower side.
We are thinking it took a fall in it's lifetime.

They are difficult to see.
We found them by feeling them and then looking closely.
The item is therefore discounted.
Rossini Glass is named after the famous composer Gioachino Antonio Rossini, 1792–1868, who wrote 39 operas.
As said above, the glass is produced with various metals, Dichroic Glass, in it to bring an array of varied colors to each piece.
Empoli is a town near tuscany, Italy famous for producing this glass.
A couldy day we tried to get the most refractory to show you WHY it's so popular.
It is Gorgeous in the light!

Also called a statement piece, it cannot hide well in your home and is meant to be shown off.
It has no great flaws, scratches or cracks.
